So, it was time for a bit of luxury- and boy did we need it!! After meeting a group of friends in Penang we moved to Langkawi to meet some familiar faces- yep my ma and pa!! We arrived in Langkawi a day early just incase and also so we could surprise them at the airport! Lets just say it was emotional- Ok me and mum were!! Very generously mum and dad had booked us to stay with them at a posh resort, so we got spoilt to clean sheets and a hot shower, aaarrrr! After rabitting on for what seemed like ages mum produced a bottle of ammereto and Dan and Dad tucked into some tinnies- it was like we had never been away. We even had xmas with pressies from mine and Dans family too- it was ace! Thanks for the undies Em- just what we needed! However, the best pressies of all was some english choccies- mmm you would never believe how much we missed it! During our week in Langkawi we had a snorkeling trip to Thailand which was amazing and we got to see some awesome fish- it was just like being in an aquarium! We took a cable car to the peak on the island and went to the night market where we showed mum and dad how we had been eating for 5 months. We treated them to noodles and satay for a bargain on 75p a head and it was well tasty- think they were impressed! For the rest of the week we were spoiled rotten and boy did we enjoy it! The resort was amazing and so was the weather and it was so nice to be with the folks to catch up, although I am sure they were fed up with our stories after the first day!!
