The large gap in the blog is due to us being way too busy having fun....We travelled down the NSW coast, staying with friends Phil and Lyn at Wyee, visiting Carol and David in Bowral, Valerie, Angus Ellie and Oscar at McMasters Beach and spent time down on the farm near Bega NSW with Jan and Jay. We also had a great week in Narabeen NSW for the Melbourne Cup fun and frivolity. From memory, we put bits and peices on facebook so won't post photos on here. Oh, nearly forgot..Lakes Entrance, ninety mile beach and then Phillip Island with the weather being fairly kind to us. Our crossing on the Sprit of Tasmania was very exciting....we couldn't believe the amount of cars, caravans motorhomes and trucks all driving onto the ship. It carries 1000 vehicles per crossing. We booked a cabin and it was an inner one so we slept like babies. When a voice over the speakers announced it was 5.45am and that we would start disembarking at 6.30am with the cars being the first, we thought we had loads of time to have a coffee, shower etc....We had noted the level our rig was on and thought we knew exactly where to go. WRONG!!! After 3 calls for "the owner of landcruiser 167MXX" to go to vehicle immediately and a lot of running up anddown stairs, arriving at the same spot with nothing but a huge green combine harvester to see and Keith swearing his head off...we headed back up to the purser who pointed us aft a block..we found our lonely rig waiting.....everything else on that level had moved around us....ho hum..our feathers were a bit ruffled but we finally got off and waited ages in the quarantine queue. We travelled all of 6/10kms out of Devonport to Latrobe, a lovely little historical village. Had a good nights sleep and left the following day for Lilydale where we spent another peaceful night....albeit very cold. It was 11c this morning when we had a walk to the Lilydale Falls. After breakfast, we headed for Scottsdale via the Lavendar Farm where we had to have morning coffee and scones...The lavendar is a bit late in flowering because of the cooler weather so we didn't see it quite at its best but still enjoyed the experience.
