Our latest entry
Causeway Bay, Hong Kong
Good morning all
We are writing our last blog :( from our cosy Causeway Bay hotel in Hong Kong. It's right next to an MTR stop - the ultra efficient subway they operate here & we've had a great week.
Since the last blog we got a ferry to Rottnest island in Western Australia, we walked for 10km(ish) around the island & checked out…

re: Brisbane, QueenslandLiam Donald Trump was in typically bulslih form as he flew in to view progress on his Scottish golf complex and said he wanted Sean Connery and Alex Salmond to open "the world's best golf course".
re: Hong Kong islandYogi The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web bwosrer. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it'll do even better in those areas, but for now it's a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod's strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.
re: Franz Josef GlacierWareerat Chanize thank you for your contribution. Yes, when somnoee visits off their own back and writes about a negative experience on their blog/TripAdvisor/a forum, we (either the PR or customer services depending on the client) contact them to resolve the situation. When a PR organises a trip (let's forget the client's financial investment for a second) they are the key contact for that blogger/journalist. In the same way that a holiday maker would contact their travel agent to straighten out a negative experience on their holiday and try to resolve them before immediately broadcasting how awful it is, it's only natural that as the trip organisers we would expect the same courtesy. We don't expect any writer to create a positive piece (although we hope they will!), we expect them to create a balanced piece.
re: photo from 26 September 2008Deepanrathika First of all a very nice article, which strated another very interesting discussion.Getting directly to the comments I understand both sites. The PR's pressure of the client, who pays for a good & positive coverage, but also the view of the bloggers who shares their point of view. It's a very similar topic how accommodations have to deal with negative comments on review sites.I think that the clients (companies) have to find a new way of dealing with these things. This is tough, but also very positive, if they do it right & if they take complaints serious!I personally always try to see both sides of the story, as there are always 2 (or more). This is also always something I'll try to get in my articles. If I don't like something, I say so! But also that it's only my view and that others will think different. If I just stand my point, then there went something really wrong and it's just as fine. But that haven't happened often yet luckily! What I liked most of your article: Call for action I agree! Let's go for it!It was a very interesting weekend & I see many ways how bloggers & PR can help each other!

re: Lake in Botanical Gardens ChristchurchMuhammet My boyfriend and I are iteernsted in purchasing tickets for the boxing event. What is the date/time/venue? It’s not very clear on the site or maybe I’m just dumb and can’t find it. Also what is the cost and seating options? Will there be table seating? Thanks very much.
re: Queenstown (2), New ZealandLuke Wonderful goods from you, man. I've understand your stuff provueis to and you are just too great. I actually like what you have acquired here, certainly like what you're saying and the way in which you say it. You make it enjoyable and you still care for to keep it smart. I can not wait to read much more from you. This is really a tremendous site.
re: Bob's Peak QueenstownZritha 205I enjoy you because of each of your effrot on this web page. Betty delights in working on research and it is easy to understand why. My spouse and i notice all concerning the compelling form you convey advantageous solutions on the website and as well increase participation from other people on that content while our favorite simple princess has been starting to learn a lot. Enjoy the remaining portion of the new year. You're the one conducting a pretty cool job.
re: Sunset Dinner CruiseAki that, permit me say to you prceisely what did give good results. The authoring is very convincing and that is possibly the reason why I am making the effort to opine. I do not make it a regular habit of doing that. Next, even though I can certainly notice the leaps in reason you come up with, I am not convinced of just how you seem to unite the details which make the actual final result. For the moment I will, no doubt subscribe to your position but trust in the foreseeable future you link your facts better.
re: photo from 26 September 2008Matii Excellent read, I just passed this onto a fnried who was doing a little research on that. And he actually bought me lunch since I found it for him smile So let me rephrase that: Thanks for lunch! A thing is not necessarily true because a man dies for it. by Oscar Fingall O'Flahertie Wills Wilde.
re: Night out in QueenstownJan Jacko, from Queenstown. (driver)Just wanting to say cunlratogations to the boys for the great win against the Ozzies.Keep up the great work and I am looking forward to coming down to the game in Dunedin.
re: Queenstown, New ZealandValerica Yesterday was probably the hosettt day of the year. I went out for a run at just about the hosettt part of the day, you know .just for fun. I figured I would do the 1.4 mile loop that passes my house, so I can easily stay hydrated. I've run this loop hundreds of times, I could probably run it with my eyes closed. I ended up doing 9 loops equaling about 12 miles at a 9 min pace.I stopped in the house 3 times to fill my bottle and grabbed my middle son with me for one of the loops. He was drenched after one mile from the heat, so he was amazed that I ran 12.Anyway, can anyone explain why today my legs are as sore as if I ran a Marathon yesterday?Last tues I ran an 11 mile tempo run at a 7:55 pace and then did a really hard interval workout on thursday so there is no reason that I am more sore from this run yesterday then any of my other workouts. It was actually my slowest run of the week. Unless the heat has something to do with it? I did stay really well hydrated and also drank a big glass of endurox when I was done. (Wich I discovered from Matt's book over a year ago)Any ideas why I'm hobbling up and down the stairs?
re: photo from 20 September 2008Rogini All I can say is Amen Brother!'You hit the nail on the head with this. I think one of the most difficult parts of my locioatn independent transitions is coming up with a new elevator speech so that when people ask me what I do, they don't get bogged down in details about passive income, currency ratios and virtual studio work.I would definitely love to see more video work from you, too. This is something I'll be doing a lot of when I leave for Argentina in September, and I have no doubt you'll provide tons of inspiration and ideas!
re: Sunset Town of 1770Noval Great job Cody I am working on a resocrue list as well as it seems that many people love to see the tools you use. It's great to see the open source and Mac stuff really coming into play. For me as an SEO/Internet Marketer most of the programs are PC only and I am too lazy to dual boot my MacBook. I am starting to love Adobe Air apps, they are really smooth and versatile. Good looks on some of the financial stuff, something I am starting to look into as I plan my travel and speaking schedule for next year.
