Arrived at Marty and Dory's on Friday evening, and treated like royalty. They live in a beautiful house, filled with Dory's lovely artworks and Martin's library and world class pen collection, right on the Bay in Virginia Beach. When we arrived Dory had made a fantastic lasagne for us, and we spent an enjoyable evening with them, detailing what we were going to be doing over the weekend, which mainly revolved around beach, tennis and eating which was fine by us! The bay and ocean were magnificent, in addition to seeing dolphins we also saw the amazing grape eating crab, video of footage which, available here, is sure to go viral or be optioned by Spielberg. We all had a fantastic time with the Silfens and it was great to catch up after such a long time. They were truly magnificent and gracious hosts and made our stay a delight. My first tennis lesson too with a magnificent man called John who had played Davis Cup Tennis. Monday morning was time for the next stage of the road trip, GPS set for Greensboro North Carolina and on to Chapel Hill, reports to follow...
