Arrived at Marty and Dory's on Friday evening, and treated like royalty. They live in a beautiful house, filled with Dory's lovely artworks and Martin's library and world class pen collection, right on the Bay in Virginia Beach. When we arrived Dory had made a fantastic lasagne for us, and we spent an enjoyable evening with them, detailing what we were going to be doing over the weekend, which mainly revolved around beach, tennis and eating which was fine by us! ...

This morning was our last in D.C, a politically minded posse set out for an early morning tour of Capitol, whilst a splinter group went for breakfast in a Diner instead. Capitol was very interesting, and pretty informative. It started with a video extolling the virtues of the US system and was followed by a tour of some of the key areas and sights, including of course the Dome.
