Barbés Rochechuart
In this side of Paris -- Mediterranian immigrants
I see the resemblance of Brooklyn 'n' Queens
with Hispanics and Eastern Europeans
their customs and traditions
evident and reflective of their own culture.
I feel like being at home
with my Asian orientation
certain types of business conviction
draws my interest to transaction.
Cheap prices in most items displayed
for food, clothing, and other stuffs at home
a good deal for a customer
who always craves for lower pricing.
Though the quality may not be certain
though its originality may be real
'tis utility that matters me more
affordability, the key to my intention.
I watch peoples' interest and culture
their speech, along with their interaction
seemingly they're brusque and confident
about their presence in the business world.
I run immediately to the bakery
with their croissants and other pastries
a great taste for me, a variety
from the usual Filipino bread in reality.
It becomes a favorite place for me
like a connecting link to my entries
food, internet café, and other items
accessible and cheap for a person like me.
La baguette
'Tis the Parisians' sandwich
tasty and rich in content
good for lunch
to take in the park.
I like it too
'tis common in the city
as French people walk
they eat it with gusto.
It's crispy and fresh
with different spread in it.
ham, bacon, tuna or turkey
cheese and mozzarella
tomatoes and lettuce
that make the baguette loved by all.
I bought one on my way
as I was searching for a rest room
'its an attempt to try it myself
La baguette in many places.
