Today was a much more boring day.We started out with class? which was actually pretty hilarious because a considerable amount of the class was still drunk from the night before. One of the girls got the hickups right in the middle of class. Then we went to the Santa Maria del Carmine, a church/museum.We had to watch a video before we actually got to walk around the museum.I assumed that the video would a 5 minute intro or maybe even 15, but boy was I wrong.I think 45 minutes is a bit ridiculous.I was falling asleep the entire time. Then we went into the church to see "The Tribute Money".
After that we went to lunch as a little walk up pizza stand. The guy folded by pizza in half for me.He said that only tourist actually get the pizza.Isn't that weird. Then we went and got gelato (by the way, this will have been my 4 serving since we have been in Italy, and that isn't even counting Spain!Yep.. I'm gonna be fat when I get home). Then we walked by the outdoor market where they sell purses and all kinds of stuff.Next on the itinerary was the Museo di Storia Dela Scienza (Science Museum).Of course, only a Georgia Tech group would seek out a science museum. But it was actually really cool.It focused on all the machines and tools of the 18th century. They had neat clocks, and pulleys, and electric machines. It was nerdy, but still really interesting.
That night a bunch of the girls went out to dinner for Kaitlyn's 19th birthday! We were going to go to this really nice place, but it was closed, so instead we went to.. "Yellow" again.I got to have another really awesome dish.Spaghetti alla Carbonara (Spaghetti with aegg and cream sauce with bacon). It rocked!!After dinner we got gelato again.. Surprise surprise. And took a zillion pictures all around Florence. We decided that girls night out is going to have to happen much more often!
I was so exhausted, so I stayed in while a bunch of people went out dancing again. We just hung out in our room and listened to music. The end.
