Greg and Kerrie's travels
Leaving Bled about 8:30 we headed out of town, content for now with our visit to Slovenia.
As the hotel did not provide breakfast we stopped about an hour up the road at a town called Klagenfurt. A delicious breakfast of bacon and eggs - just like Sunday breakfast at the Outpost in Canungra but only 2 bikes - ours! After a stroll around the town square we were off again.
We picked a small town called Eisenerz to stay in on our way to Vienna because the roads leading in to the town were marked in green on our map - that means they are scenic roads. This method of choosing our route has proved very successful and we have stayed in some beautiful small towns with a scenic ride each time.
The roads leading in to town took us through the Eisenerzer Alpen region and were beautiful to ride.
When we arrived we noticed that the town was very quiet - in fact everything except our hotel and one cafe was shut. By the time we had unpacked the bikes and checked in, even the cafe was closed. It was Sunday after all and we guess that people in Eisenerz takes the 'rest on the sabbath' idea very seriously.

Jo Hannan Your experience in Eisenerz was the same as ours in Kotschach last year. Hope you didn't miss dinner.
Sandra we'll have brekky on Sunday for you at Canungra!!! We are expecting a cold but sunny weekend so should be good riding.
