Well after 5 weeks on Phuket we decided to leave our lil bungalow and head over to the other side of the lower gulf. On Thursday after 11 long hours of coach and ferry we landed in a heap in Phuket and checked into our first hostel of our travels in the capital Phuket town. Yes Phuket town is slightly ghetto with a rife taxi mafia but is a cheap and excellent base to access the rest of the Island. The hostel we're staying in is nice and we've been able to meet and chat to others on their travels. On Saturday we bussed it to the beach of Patong which was like Blackpool on heat. OMG the sea was like pond water and the beach was very busy. Me and Wesley got badded up by a young girl because we didn't want to buy sunglasses lool. But an experience all the same. And to make matters worse a bird shat on my hand it was foul and I was not impressed but Wesley thought it was pretty amusing. In the evening we went on a mission to find the night market but didn't feel like walking 3miles so opted for a taxi bike. We both hopped on the same one and I will never know how the lil old guy managed to balance us both on the bike with Wesley's backside hanging off the back. After the scariest ride ever we got to the market which was huge and full of bargains, after bagging a few we had some food and headed back. The capital is quite strange as after 11pm it's just like a ghost town. We're spending our last night in the hostel tonight and beginning our journey to Malaysia tomorrow to renew our visa's. We plan to stay there a few days then back into Thailand to spend Xmas on Koh Phi Phi (where the beach was filmed) we're then heading to Koh Phagnan for the ultimate New Years full moon party. From there we're going to the neighbouring island of Koh Tao to do a four day diving course (PADI) and from there we're planning to go inland to Bangkok (spend a few days there as its probably all we can take) then further up to Chang Mai to see Thailand's history. From there we plan to make our trip to India. This is all very subject to change but its just a small outline of what we intend to follow :-) will holla in Malaysia, speak soon! x
