Well the past few days have been kinda hazy. It all started with a trip to big budda. As much as we thought the place was authentic it wasn't for the amount of tourist shops there were and so on. Despite this big budda was nice to see and saw a few monks dotting around the place. It also monsooned the same afternoon and we found our selfs sheltered in a locals market with everything and anything from skinned squirrels to dried jelly fish. After 15mins in the market we decided to brave it back home on the bike and get ready to go out for dinner. We had a really lovely candle lit meal with lovely steak and wine and a guy singing some tunes. We then walked by the lake and all was so romantic until........ I said to wes 'you know my top lips starting to feel kinda num you know, I hope I haven't been bit'. Well yes it turned out I had been bit by some kinda spawn of satan spider beasty and within hours my top lip was super swollen. Bless Wesley telling me I still look beautiful when really I looked like a poor candidate of Botox gone very wrong. Lol I thought I was dying and going into anaphylactic shock, but with a trip to boots pharmacy for some very good antihistamines the swellings have subsided and I'm recovering. We've had a few days of rain here but managed to catch the sun on the beaches. We've found a very nice sleepy village called Bo Phut today so will defo be going back. It has the most spectacular view with lovely topaz waters. O ye and we've gained a neighbour from Switzerland who is so kind and cheerful and also feels no way at all walking around in his exceptionally small Y-fronts despite his 65+ age.
