Ok so landed in Hua Hin after a long 25hours of travelling. The first half wasn't as bad on a nice air conditioned coach but the second 9 hour journey in a van was something else. The van reeked of dried fish food and the driver took down the motorway like he was possessed. He also made me get out of the van to go to the toilet when i didn't want to because of bugs.On several occasions throughout the journey i thought we were going to die or at least be hurt but we were kool so I suppose you can say we learnt the lesson of Thai driving. We landed in Hua Hin (Southern gulf of Thailand) at 6am in the middle of what looked like no where and you can always guarantee that I need to pee when this happens. Wesley managed to holla a taxi down which took us to our guesthouse. It was quite nice but I don't think we would have cared if it was a cave, just as long as we could lay. After a long lay we got up, ate and went off to find the beach. The beach was lovely with just the locals and a few tourists. Yes there were crabs everywhere and the odd squid washed to shaw but it was almost an untouched beach. Wesley thought it would be cleaver to walk the entire length of the beach so after 6 miles we had managed to find a cheap hostel next to a night market with plenty of action so thought we'd check in there the day after. The hostel was lovely and clean and pretty much in the heart of the day and night market. it was only a 10min walk to the beach so we decided to spend our Xmas there. We indulged on food, alcohol and sun for the next few days. Xmas dinner consisted of prawns, crabs, squid, muscles, baked potatoes and all things nice. After having a tasty meal we proceeded across the road to a Mexican restaurant to grab some Margaritas and some Mexican steak nacho's (would have been rude not to). It was that tasty and authentic that we went back there the following night for dinner and more margaritas. Now that Christmas is done we will be back to BBQ'ed chicken livers, hearts and water haha. We're now off to Bangkok for the new year and currently sat on a minibus waiting to set off. I really hope that this driver doesn't drive liken a b**** on heat as I'm so not ready for it this morning but the journey's only 2 hours. Wesley has had his fag so he's all set. It's going to be our first dorm experience in a hostel so wish us luck......people better not be watching me sleep. Will check in when we reach Bangkok.
