Lovely day in Singapore. Very little immigration hassle and we caught the free shuttle bus from our berth in the huge container depot on the outlying reaches in the harbour. It took, would you believe, half an hour in the bus to get to the Cruise Terminal! Ridiculous to build a brand new Terminal with all the transport links to the city in a place where even the comparatively small Oriana can't berth. We travelled by MRT - mass rapid transit - excellent service...

Woke to heavy rain but still warm. After early breakfast walked over long bridge from deck 7 directly into terminal building. Very good tour guide and the overcast day and occasional light rain made the temp bearable.First stop The National War Memorial which is very impressive and set in attractive gardens. Another sea day and another hours sleep lost as we travel east. Lovely show last night. This am interesting passage through lots of islands as we turned from the Andaman Sea into the Straits of Malacca. Very warm but overcast indeed a few drops of rain first thing.
