We got off the horrible night bus in Lago Agrio, the pick up point for the Amazon trip, we had to get a taxi to a cafe and wait there to be picked up. There wasn't many people there at all and most that were, were on our tour. We got picked up on time and had a two hour minibus ride to the river. In Mancora we very nearly missed the bus! Very very nearly missed the bus! It was driving off as we rounded the corner and someone had to whistle it to stop! The flight to sao Paulo was really quick, about an hour, we then had to go out of the terminal and back in again to get to our next gate. There were no signs anywhere of where to go so we had to ask someone which was stupid, the airport was huge and had tonnes of restaurants takeaways and shops, but these were all before security so once we went through there was one duty free and then about 5 small coffee shops all selling the same overpriced snack.
