we went to go see the last supper painting and had prebooked it to make sure that we got in. luckily that we had booked it so far in advance as they had sold out for the next two weeks! the painting itself is really reall ig and theres another painting opposite that has alot more going on but its not painted by leonardo da vinci. you went in groups of 20 and got to stay there for 10-20 mins i cant really remember all in silence. we managed to get a sneay photo of that too which is really hard because of how few people are alllowed in and they have like flash sensors. they also have a little model ofit for blind people to see which i thinks a bit cheeky putting it in the paying bit rather then the foyer as blind people cant even see the real painting so why should they pay?! we also learnt that the nazis used the place a barn and ruined it a bit because they didnt care. the church its self is really plaina nd boring from the outside so it was quite hard to find. we hen headed into town to find somehwere to eat but everywhere was shut becasue it was august! we had heard that this happened in italy but milan was the only place we noticed it even shops that we have in england were shut for august. we managed to find a pub and then went to go look at the cathedral whcih is absolutley huge! you could get in free but they were really strict on clothing - stricter then the vatican adn so many girls got turned away. next to the cathedral is the posh quarter that milan is so famous for with marble floor and gucci shops etc and however still in this place ( its a bit ike victoria shopping centre in leeds) was a macdonalds it was a bit hard to spot at first becasue they had to tone down there giant advertisments but it was still there. actaully taking over the world! we ate a cafe where you had to loo at what sandwich you wanted then go across the room to pay then come back to the first place to get the order it was bizzare and we had to take photos of the things we wanted because we're useless at languages!
