we arrived in munich early to the swealtering heat it was boiling. luckily our hostel was ready for us to check in. we stayed at the 4 you munchen hostel and it was lovely they gave us wristbands so that we could get happy hour all the time. when we started exploring the city we found out that everything is soooo expensive like 6 euro a magnet and 1 euro for a postcard we later found out that its the most expensive city in germany so a bad choice to spend 5 nights :. the next day we went on the free tour done by sandemans new europe company and we got an irish guy called michael who came to munich for octoberfest and loved the beer so much decided to move! he was really good and told us loads about the city and alot about munich beer. 10 mins after our tour finished it started pissing it down really really badly we both had a ridiculous waterproofs that we'd never thought we'd have to wear and then becasue we were soaked decided to run through the giant fountain. THAT was a biggg mistake! i got hit right bang in the face which took down my hood and i was soaked me and dan were squelching allllll the way back to the hostel and had to hang our clothes up to dry on the bunk bed which took like 3 days. that night we went on a free bar crawl and the flyer said 6.30 we were late so we rushed down only to find that it was at 8.30- we stopped in at a kebab place to get dan some dinner and although i didnt want one i ended up having one simply because everyone who walks through the door get a kebab made for them. i wish i knew enough german to stop them! we waited around until half past 8 and walked in with two london boys from our hostel. the first bar gave free jager shots with every drink. there we bumped into aaron and melinda an american couple who are also travelling round europe. we arrived at the hofbrauhaus the largest and most fampous in munich and sat watching local bavarian music and dancing when melinda decided to join in and got up on stage and started dancing with a big bavarian man! she asked me to join but i polietly declined lolll. it was a really good night and after aaron and melinda went home we hung out with the two london boys. i know one was called tim but i cant remember the other boys name so il just keep calling them the two london boys- they had been touring spain just going on nights out. us and them ended up getting lost because one of them kept wanting to run through the giant fountain. we ended up going back to the hostel and getting a few drinks there for cheaper with our wristbands we met melinda there again who was very drunk and very funny. and dan decided to steal a stein because there like €10!! after the bar closed we decided to trek to macdonalds and it was really strange as there were two tramps curled up asleep one on table and then on the other like 5 people in business dress at 4 in the mornign very bizzare!

the next day we were going to go to dachau but it was pissing rain and we were hungover so we just couldnt be bothered! our clothes were still wet and it was awful awful weather that we hadnt expected to get. in the afternoon we decided to wander round the hostel and bumped into melinda and aaron again and decided to go to this chinese tower which was a beer garden it was quite a long walk and ont he way we saw these people just surfing in a normal river. we got to the chinese tower after a loooong walk and all had some weisswurst and pretzel the weisswurst is a white veal sausage and it was disgusting we dont recommend it! at alllll!!!!
