This is the view from the balcony of our villa. Santorini is built on the top of and along the cliff face of an extinct volcano. The scenery is magnificent. Streets are windy and steep. Many steps to negotiate to get down to our villa but definitely worth it! They still use donkeys in some areas to carry goods up and down. Very much like Mykonos with the design and style of buildings-all white! Greek food is beaut! The sun is very hot with the reflections from the white buildings. Shops are upmarket and streets narrow. Lots of tourists off the ships invade the place. Markets to choose from and plenty of traditional and modern restaurants. We are having a great time and certainly feel exhausted after exploring the streets and sights. TIME FOR A DRINK ! Cheers G&J J-A. xx
