Today we have seen some beautiful views, observed a beach full of Elephant Seals and trekked for what seemed like miles up an extremely steep and rough trail see a waterfall that Imogen was none too impressed with! Staying in San Simeon tonight we found a restaurant just a short walk from the hotel with more than a garden burger for us veggies - we've all enjoyed a delicious and healthy meal and with the walk and the heat we are all knackered.com Goodnight zzz...

After leaving "gangland" our first stop was The Mystery Spot. A very bizarre place where things act oddly and defy gravity but is it all just an optical illusion, check out today's album and see for yourself! Monterey, Pebble Beach and Carmel were just a few of our stops today. Carmel is a lovely little place but I didn't manage to spot Clint! Waking up to fog (again) we ventured down to a deserted beach and wandered along the sands. We've had such a fun day at the Boardwalk today, running around like children going on the rides two or three times before the queues formed. After watching the news this morning, Imogen was none too keen on todays's destination. At 8pm last night a 13 year old boy was shot dead in Santa Cruz, apparently gang related. Arriving in Santa Cruz and taking a wrong turn, I just happen to u-turn where the family were creating a shrine to their lost love. This happens to be two blocks from the hotel! Our short (ha,ha) walk to the bridge and back today has completely wiped us all out. It looks a lot closer out of the hotel window! Santa Cruz is our destination for tomorrow and again we have two nights in one place - luxurious or what!?
