I still can't believe I am going to be on a real vacation, without my kids, on a nice beach on the warm Caribbean ocean in just a few days -- that is if all goes well. Figures that when I finally am able to try to take a trip like this, it's during a global pandemic and I have extra hoops I have to jump through to make the trip happen. It may not be near as bad as I fear, but I'm gonna stick with that whole "expect the worst and then be pleasantly surprised" thing.

Tammy, my travel companion for this trip, and I are driving down to Red Wing MN this afternoon for our Covid-19 tests. Yay! Q-tips up our noses into our brains! There is a snowstorm forecasted to come this afternoon but we are hoping to beat it, and Tammy is driving us in her GMC pickup, so we should survive the ordeal, even if the storm hits a bit early. I have my last scheduled massage at my studio to perform this morning before we go (much needed income for the trip!)

I should probably go get showered and pick together for the day but I wanted to try to his blog out again this morning as it wasn't working too well when I was trying to set it up yesterday evening when I was in Woodbury between massage clients. It seems to be good now tho, and I'm excited to have a good format to record my travels and a way for my friends and family to easily follow me.

My friend Paula has always wanted to be a travel blogger. I need to tell her about this site!
