Leisurely start this morning to enjoy our lovely gourmet continental breakfast. Our first stop was Albany's Anzac Memorial atop Mt Clarence, one of the two mounts between which Albany is straddled (Mt Melville is the other). Received a message that the power would be off early this morning - perhaps that's why we were subconsciously awake so early! We were packed, had breakfast and on the road by 830am. Enjoyed cooking our own brekkie this morning with local produce supplied by our hostess Sue (including WA milk in a plastic bag!) By 9ish drove into town to Visitors Centre, as it opened for some advice for the day, then coffee at the Mill house cafe. Had a wander around the sleepy little hamlet of Augusta, a quiet town on the banks of the Blackwood River and Hardy Inlet where it meets the Southern Ocean.
