Well I'm settled in Brisbane now. Mel, pearl and I have our room with a kitchen and bathroom located in Fortitude Valley. We are paying $130 a week which is a bargain. I've got a job at Strike Bowling in the city centre working on the bar and running the Xmas functions. It's a great venue and always busy which is good. The people I work with, mainly men hehe, are great and we have a real laugh. Its a 40 min walk to work but It's good pay too and every little help...

Well... 7 hours with no break, 4 blisters the size of a tablespoon but I got the job. Got to hand in my form on Monday and get paid on Wednesday. The rota is being emailed to me so should have shifts starting on Tues or Wed for the next 4 weeks wahoo. Off to the botanical gardens today and then going to the Story Bridge hotel to watch the Sunday afternoon jazz concert. Im tired and I ache but hopefully that will cheer me up hehe. Lots of Love xxx

Had a productive job hunt yesterday. Handed out lots of cv's and managed to land myself a job trial at a bar in a bowling alley in town. Its only until xmas which is ideal and its a small bar so hopefully fairly easy work. I dont know how long the trial will be or how much the job pays. I was just glad to get a trail. Australia zoo was fantastic. We went to the Crocoseum to see the wildflife warrior show which featured birds, snakes and crocs (obviously). The zoo was really big and extremely well looked after. I also patted a Koala and fed an elephant yay! It was so nice to see all the Steve Irwin tributes too and the atmosphere there was so friendly. I want to go back lol. What a night. We all got ready and met in the hostel bar at 8.30pm. A zombie, 3 devils, 1 witch, 2 cats a mummy and 2 smurfs headed to KB's for the halloween party. After KB's we went to the Rolling Rock which was really good. Everyone's outfits looked amazing. We left the club and decided to walk back to hostel which is 40 minutes away.
