Hola, We have arrived safe and sound in Salta (Northern Argentina) after a 20 hour bus journey from BA. Our few days in BA were brilliant, except for the weather which was far too similiar to the UK - RAINY! Saw Tango and had some fabulous steak, went to some of the art museums, and also did some shopping (yes Howard was sulky!). Hola! Well Santiago is a bit of a disappointment it has to be said. However I have made the most of being here. Today I walked up San Cristobal where there is a huge Statue of the Virgin Mary watching over the city. I walked right to the top, it's so big that you rise above the smog as you can see from the pictures i took. I took the funicular down so i would be able to get the big seafood market for lunch - my scallops were amazing, also had some kind of fish...

Finally got an opportunity to update - been so busy over the last few days. Mendoza was great, went horseriding in the Andes all day and rode to a really cool restaurant for a fantastic lunch.
