Fremantle

A beautiful fishing village on the coast around an hour train ride from Perth. Luckily the weather had given me a break... A nice clear sunny day. Being September it was still just warm but the sun was well appreciated.

Id describe the town as quite an American. I'm not sure why. That's how it felt to me. But I didn't see Fremantle in its normal way. It was one of the biggest football games Fremantle had seen in a while. They were playing Sydney in the final. The streets and bars we're full of hundreds of people. Shops and bars had flags everywhere. It was actually a really good buzz.

So taking in the atmosphere I head down to the brewery. It's right ok the beach in a perfect spot. Little creatures brewery to be exact. I'd highly recommend a visit to at least the bar. It's a huge building with the inside basically still showing it's a brewery. The foods pretty decent too.

After sinking a few ice cold ones, I found a perfect spot in a local bar ram packed with Fremantle supporters.

I'd say Fremantle was the highlight of my Perth trip as due to the weather and lack of other things to do while we had bad weather... I jumped on the internet and booked a flight over to Sydney. Why Sydney? Well weather reports showed that's where I could at least start again with the picture of beach life as 26 degrees sun no clouds seemed like just the remedy.
