Glenn's Travels
So here I am, I've arrived in Bangkok. Actually I arrived yesterday after flying out of Hong Kong. First impressions of Thailand - hot, obviously, and very busy and crowded. The traffic was terrible coming from the airport, and the drivers were insane. Best to close your eyes and pretend you're in a happy place. Anyway, got here to the New World Lodge where I'll be staying for the next couple of days before I set off on tour. I met a couple of English girls last night over dinner (I was absolutely starving), and me and one of the girls (Katie) decided to go out and explore. We're very close to Koh San Road, which is great, because that's where all the nightlife is. The place was busy, lots and lots of travellers. Americans, Australians, English, Irish (a couple) and of course a few Thais. In Hong Kong, there were some tourists, but there are loads here, which is great as it's so easy to meet people and start talking or whatever. So I had a great time last night, more than a couple of beers, and this morning I was slightly regretting it. To remedy that, I'll be having a nice Thai massage later. Apart from that, I won't be up to much today, still getting used to the constant heat. I reckon I'll just relax for a bit. Just so you know, I've managed to get my Hong Kong photos uploaded, so check them out.
