Well Hola from Rio!

What an amazing place - not to mention the heat! I arrived on Thursday and we've been down to the beach the most days, and partyedhard each night also! Went to a fantastic street party in Lapa - it was fantastic!

My colour is getting pretty good now - I went to go see the Christ statue with Beki and Jen yesterday and you are ment to see the who of Rio from the top. Well.... it was a really cloudy day and we saw nothing. You could barely see the statue - but every now and again it would pop out from the cloud!

Tomorrow I am going to Isla Grande about 3 hours away from Rio for 2 nights which should be good and not to mention cheaper. Today I am going on a tour of the shanty towns which should be interesting!

Portuguse is such a weird language! It sounds Russian to me. It's really strange being in a country where you cannot speak the language.

The hostel - The Mango Tree is really cool. The breakfast rocks, soI have been over eating breakfast and missing lunch .... what a cheap skate am I! I have met some really nice people also in my dorm and the staff are really friendly.

If Dad is reading this Happy Fathers Day! Sorry I couldn't be there but I will have a nice little presant for you!
