¡Hola!
Long time no update? Very sorry, have been a little busy! Can't think where I last left you ... Rite so 1 week ago, I went to the football match at La Boca, what an experiance. Talk about being treat like cattle! There was so much pushing and shoving and the force of it was amazing. I managed to end up walking backwards, tried to turn back round and my trainer fell off! Walking round the stadium is no fun in 1 shoe because everyone likes to pi$$ all over the place! Bought some new trainers anyway so it wasn't that bad!
Some of the lads came back to the hostel so we went to the pictures to see Zodiac, which was very good. I will be cathing up with them in Bristol and Sheffield. Then later that night we all had a crazy night clubbing! (I'll not mention the fact that it was all you can drink!) So I didn't get home to 8am Sunday morning! After having a very lazy morning and afternoon we went to the flea market in San Telmo where I got my camera stolen!
Went out for a few leaving meals, and later on that week I bought some items for my mini holiday to Iguazu!
It was fantastic! 18 hours on a coach - first class! It was great, vino, wisky and the girls wanted me to steal a bottle of champange, so I coudn't dissapoint! I went with Charlotte and Sabina, who are lovely girls. As sson as we got there we dumped our stuff in the Hostel and headed over to the Brazillian side of the waterfalls. It was amazing! The waterfalls are so impressive and because it's the winter here in S.America the falls were in full force! Sabina forgot her passport so Charlotte and I went. We also had a little look round a Foz D'Iguazu which is a little town on the Brazilian side which was fun. Charlotte and I were like O.K we cannot speak Portuguse and we have no currency! Luckily we managed. Later that evening we headed back to Argentina, went for tea and to a club in Puerto Iguazu.
The next day we did the Argentinian side, which again was amazing! We also went on a high speed boat and went up really close to the waterfalls which was amazing. We spent a good 8 hours at the National Park, and get this - they charge more for people whom are from abroad! All the same it was well worth it. Later we had dinner and a little look round the tourist shops. After this we went on a little train ride and saw some great scenery which reminded me of Derbyshire a little. Later, we went home had a shower and went out for tea and to a club again! The next day was a little calmer and we went to a wood musem called Aripoco which means animal trap. Was a little boring but the wood designs were amazing. There were houses made into the trees and there was a load of exquisite wooden furniture - my darling Mother and my Auntie's would have loved it! Later we headed back into town and had a picnic in the park and the sun was so hot! Later that day we got packed up and headed into Buenos Aires. The bus was not as fun on the way back as we went economy class and the films in both directions were terrible!
Got back to BA on Monday and 10am and was teaching at 1.30pm! I had a very quiet night on Monday. Tuesday was Ed's last day as he is going to Iguazu and the Bolivia. He wanted to go to the cemetry in Recoleta so we went there and had lunch. Later everyone at the hostel wanted to see Pirates of the Carribean, but it was on to late so we went for drinks. We are going to see it tonight though after teaching at the Childrens Home. It's Charlotte's last night on thurs and then she is going travelling for 2 weeks and then back to BA to go to Rio, which is where I will be going - cannot wait! I will really miss her while she is gone.
I am teaching for the rest of the week and then am going to Uruguay with Beki and Jen which should be amazing. The rest we will just have to see what happens!
Hope everyone is O.K, am missing you all loads!
