1. Walk down to pier 39 and see the sealions then from there walk all the way to the golden gate bridge, walk along the front the whole way. Theres a safeway half way that does awesome bagguettes - chicken and pesto is the best. Walk across the golden gate bridge it's awesome - pretty high and quite scary actually and they say there are sharks below but theres not really, not usually anyway.
2. Go to alcatraz - make sure you pay for the audio tour otherwise it's a bit boring as you don't find out much. Also make sure you attend the wardens speaches - they do a few i think - the ones we went to were about escape attempts and famous inmates but you should deffos attend all the ones you can. If you are staying in the Green Tortoise hotel you should watch The Rock before you go - they have it on video and most the rooms have TV/Video.
3. Go to the Levis store on Union Square - and get some cheap levis - you can get them customised too.
4. Don't bother going on the trams / cable cars they're quite pricey, well crowded and really its just a tram.
5. go to the Presidio - its a bit of a walk but everywhere in SanFrancisco is interesting so it's fine and its a great park - it's meant to be one of the best in the world i think. it was cool when we went there.
6. Go to Lombard St
7. Go to Chinatown and Japantown
8. Dont go to the civic quarter - it's one of the scariest places i've ever been - full of druggies and tramps just lying in the street - it's waful - feels really threatening even in the day, the tramps even warn you to turn around and walk another way but we thought they were just trying to get money off us so ignored them and walked right through it - there is nothing to see there anyway so don't bother.
that's all i can think of but really its just a cool place to hang out, you don't have to try to entertain yourselves too much. The whole area between chinatown, downtown, the presidio and the bridge is cool just to wander round, particularly all the houses overlooking the bay, they're well nice.
Yosemite should be awesome - we wanted to go there but ddnt have the time.

pier7 - cool place to hang out and walk by the sea. loads of skateboarders there!
seafood chowder - for woodkat imagine eating loads of seafood mangled up in a soup. its rank i reckon youd throw up if you even smelt it!
yosemite- go to bass lake it is incredible. clean and massive lake with waterfalls in the middle of the forest, you can jetski and swim in there. theres also diving platforms int the middle of the lake so gk can practise his dives for cyprus!!
dont worry if you cant buy me a luis vuitton bag or chanel eyelashes or whatever from san fran haha take care boys see you soooon xx

hello mum mainly. how u doing??? yea i spoke to barn the other night on facebook. and dad too, dad dint seem to be able to work it though coz it kept crashing!! i am well in la at the moment, but got a little sunburnt today! were going out tonight for a couple of beers and a nice meal...some lads saw vinnie jones out last night. bit wierd! there was a mamma mia parade thing today on the pier were at, dunno what its about...the title doesnt encourage me to watch it!
so whats happening with the barca trip??? hopefully everyone will be able to go!? waitrose cant stop steve from going on holiday can they? jst tell em hes booked flights!!!?

We went to see the feel good movie of the summer last nite Mamma Mia, well funny, so good had to go to asda for the soundtrack!! I want to go again!!
So far our family holiday may be a disaster as barney got to do resits in middle & waitrose not letting toby have time off as its leeds fest!! Just a bit fed upping!! dad continues to thrash oli at darts & has taken Barney & J down to kirkstall to show them how to knock a few balls!! Competetive DAD!!! trying to get him onto the tennis courts is prooving much harder but endless rain is not really helping!!
Rosie returned having had a great time telling us life here is pretty boring as she seems to have had a holiday like experience & NOT REALLY working!! Ive been busy since uncle andy left with our YUM raised beds trying to prepare the soil for veggies & all that stuff!! Self sufficiency maybe!!
Barney reckons youll be home before you said but weve got august 1st pencilled in for heathrow trip! Do let us know your plans Ill have a pie waiting thats all!!!!!!

Well its been really crap here with wall to wall rain for the last few days. We were going to go to the lakes but its just been too wet. We may go for a boys trip camping next weekend but it will probably be a wash out so we are fed up!
Andy and nan have just gone back after he completed the waitys Garden project. Nan was his minder and site foreman for the week ha ha, not really sure what she came for.
I went to Germany on business at the end of last week and saw Rosie. Shes in a place called Olpe which is a Greman holiday lake district area where you can swim in the lake and go sailing wind surfing etc. Shes seems to be having a good time.
Ive also been elected on to the otley town comittee as the Welfare Officer, thats because im well fare with everyone down there!

Jack and gang have started playing tennis and footy training is starting tomorrow night.
Oli back working in Leeds I beat him at darts yesterday!
Toby cranking up shifts at Waitrose, even shelf stacking this week.
Casual work has dried up this week at Duve so barny needs to get his s*** together or he will have no money.

Well I got back from Mexico last weekend well knackered and have been struggeling to get over it. Oli came home on Monday with a van load of stuff and we went off to Thirsk races last night. As usual i didnt back any winners at all.
Rosie is in Germay and seems to be having a good time. Yesterday swimming, shopping and pub !!!.
Jack and Toby went off to see the National in Leeds last night and Nan and Andy are coming today to do some Gardening at Phils.
Mum is once again very busy and Im trying to get her to have a day in the lakes or the seaside with me soon.
Tomorrow im off to Germany, back Friday.

not an awful lot of news here really. I'm doing an awful project at Merrill Lynch atm - i hate it but am handing in my notice next week so not much longer i've got to put up with it for.
better news, we had an excellent party for DV last weekend as you probably gathered from some of the earlier posts. we went down to camber sands, stopped off to hire rowing boats and eat cake on the way down. Then wen we got to camber just played sports for about 5hrs solid. There was quite abig gang of us (me, DV, Luke, Pete, Dan, Greg, Graeme, Lauren, Zinho, Alan) so we played rounders - was brilliant - you two would have loved it. Then came back and had a BBQ (some others came over when we got back) and a party at ours. Luke beat Zinho in a dance off as you would have read - zinho pulled out the 'worm' and the 'bendover' but luke did the 'limbo' and the 'head forcefield' so knocked zinho out the park.
Yesterday Dan had an open evening for his art work which is in this gallery in Dartford. We went there and hobknobbed for a while then went and got a curry. Was good, there was quite a big gang of us again, (me, DV, Luke, Pete, Rachel, Greg, Alan, MC, Zinho, Gary, Gary's girlfriend Kerry ) afterwards me and DV and luke went home but the others went to Zens... i am so pleased that i didn't but i haven't heard anything yet about what happended but alan and zinho were out so something funny must have happened.
I forgot. we wnet to a house party at Gregs flat a couple of weeks ago which was good. Alan wasback to his drunk best. we were all quite drunk and wearing 80's outfits (most of which were clothes we'd borrowed off you) anyway do you remember when we gave zinho an atomic wedgie and you had to cut him out his boxers? we'll zinho di dthe same to Alan but he didn't have to cut thenm because they just ripped to shreds, they were like made out of paper or something it was so funny alan was laying on the coach in the middle of the lounge getting bundled by everyone and then when the bundle dispersed his boxers were completey shredde, honestlylike you had put them through a shredder. Anyway Alan then started charging at everyone and got hold of a rugby ball and in a well crowded lounge just whacked it as hard as he could in the air, it hit the ceiling and bounced off and hid DV in the head. Then Alan allegedly smashed down Gregs front door after he got locked out but he denies this and says it was actually this really small/weak girl who was there. Was well funny.
Spurs have signed PSVs goalie whose a bit of a nutter but i like him.
we're going down to Southmapton now to see the Gparents.
