Hello everyone! nice to see all your messages. We survived the 12 hour bus journey and are now in Nha Trang, VIetnam. The night bus picked us up at 6 in the evening, and we were dreading having to spend 12 hours on there. When it arrived it actually looked ok, the night buses consists of reclining chairs on the floor, and some above them like bunkbeds... bit hard to describe. Although it stank we were ok untill......the cockroaches appeared!! They were everywhere!!!! we had no choice but to deal with it, it was horrible, and im just thankful we dont have to do another one!!! So after the horrific bus journey we got straight to the hotel and slept!! then yesterday we took a walk along the beach ( the beach is lovely!!!) . Its really warm here but we are stil experiencing the odd shower!! but atleast i can wear shorts. Nha Trang is a lot different to Hoi An, there lots of building work going on to make it into a luxurious resort, for exampe they have a novotel and are building a Marriot, something you dont see in Vietnam!! They also have luxurious beach venues with cocktails and pools, but were a little pricey for me and gizz, 35p for a beer is our limit!! There are lots of bars and restaurants and its caters for tourists really well, they even have an icebar like tey have in london!! They also have their own version of Disney Land on the island opposite which you can get to by cable car.I love the shopping here too. Last night we took a walk along the road and saw all their new year lights and decorations ( its like christmas!). Nha Trang is very much more of a holiday destination, very relaxed. We are spending today having a walk round and probably a mexican tonight!! ( although we have had to be careful with our stomachs lately!!). We have a coach ( a normal one thank god) booked to take us to dalet tomorrow, which takes about 4 hours. Its suppose to be very romantic and very french! so we are looking forward to that. Apparently its home to strawberry jam and vineyards!! Will keep you posted soon, still trying to upload photos but it takes forever so will do it soon xxx
