1770
After our excitement on Fraser Island it was nice to get away and actually manage to get some sleep again. 1770 was about a four hour bus journey up the coast that me and Chloe actually did alone as Caz was not very well. It was suppose to be discovered in 1770 which is how it got its name, and was built by female convicts who had no experience in building at all, yet surprisingly did a really good job. All the buildings were old fashioned and the town itself was extremely quiet. There must have been about 10 shops so after about 30 minutes we became stuck on what to do! We stayed waiting for the other girls to arrive and luckily the hostel was really chilled out and nice. It was like being on a ranch or something, it was in the middle of a farm surrounded by lots of land. We stayed in Denmark, as all the rooms (which to our surprise had no locks on any of the doors) were all names after countries! The weird thing about our room was that Kirtsty's from Blackpool actually stayed in the same room as us, in one of the smallest towns in Australia, and at the other side of the world, it was bizarre. We used 1770 to get our energy back after Fraser and enjoyed a few days just chilling in hammocks. It was quite a cool place which I didn't think I would get to see.
