Ginge's Travels
So this is I think our 4th day in Queenstown... maybe... you seriously lose track of time when you're out here!!! I don't think any of us are really that impressed with Queenstown as a place. While the views and surroundings are amazing, after everything we've heard about the town, it really hasn't lived up to our expectations at all. Which is a shame. I think maybe everyone we spoke to just hyped it up too much. Friday night was ok, we went out to an irish pub with the people who were skydiving at the same time as us, and between 6 of us we drank 9 bottles of champange! Don't worry mums, it was £6 a bottle and we only bought 2 of them!!! Other than that we haven't done a great deal! After today (Sunday) we're most probably going to make the long trip back up to the north island and then slowly up to Auckland before flying to Aus. I think at the moment I much preferred the north island as the people were a lot nicer etc. Oh I almost forgot, yesterday at the petrol station we were getting on really well with the people that worked there, as they were not much older than us, and whilst paying this Australian guy in a Britz camper van pulled right up our backside. So the people at the station were like, just sit there for ages to piss him off!!! So we sat there for less than a minute as the guy was being a complete a*******. Next thing we know, he rams the back of our van!!! Jamie is out the car in a matter of seconds ready kick the crap out of this guy, until he realises this guy is about 9ft7 and probably around 35yrs old! For some strange reason this doesn't appear to phase Jamie at all, and these 2 continue yelling at each other for a good 5 minutes. I don't really remember what happened cuase I thought it was hilarious... sorry J, and we filled out an incident report sheet at the petrol station and left. Well there's a bit of action for ya'll!!! Speak to you soon,
Ginge x
