It was another mad rush, we went to see Charles Peat & David Dodd to say our goodbyes. We'd left our bags in Charlie's office and headed to a Korean Restaurant.....then we rushed down to the other side of town to say our farewells to Keith & Stevo. Getting a cab proved to be a nightmare and so the usual panic kicked in. Eventually we managed to flag a taxi down and then the driver played silly b*****s pretending not to know where Central was. It's time like these that Piano Wire can come in handy. We then ran to Charles' office and grabbed the bags...once again thanks Charlie.... The express check in at Central is super efficient and so we were soon on our way. We're booked onto Emirates and now we're in Dubai once again......although this time we're in transit and so wont have to go through the passport nightmare. For those with a taste for the technical...the plane was a Boeing 777.
We've got a few hours to wait and then we're on a Quantas Flight to London....and will be flying on the Airbus A380, which everyone has been raving about. It's a massive plane and has proved to be hugely successful. The service on the Emirates flight was superb by the way and we were lucky that it wasn't too full so we could stretch out and get some sleep. The only disruption was caused by some of our fellow Mainland Chinese passengers........possibly pig farmers....they would not sit down when asked and would roam around the plane, they were subtle as sledge hammers and had less manners than their livestock. The Hong Kong Chinese derogarily call them "Peasants" and it's not difficult to see why. One guy commandeered a free seat next to us, he was wearing a flash Hugo Boss Suit (I knew this as he still had the label on the cuff of the suit). He then took his socks off and got his foot onto the armrest. He then proceeded to scrape out the clegg from his toenails. Classy. These guys are the new rich of China....and no doubt they'll be heading to a place of interest near you soon, so be prepared.
London and home beckons and it funny to think that it's taken us so many weeks to get to Hong Kong and that it will only take 19 hours to get back home by flying. It'll be interesting to see merry old Blighty after being away for so long. Arctic weather is due apparently, so that'll be something to look forward to..........

David It was good to see you and Grant, and to hear of your adventures. Your tales have certainly been inspirational, and as soon as my daughter is old enough, we’re off to see the world.....well done to you and Grant.....
Gareth & Mavis Gibbs Welcome home Lloyd & Grant. It’s been a journey like no other. You’ve kept us glued to the lap-top. Friends in the USA, In Australia, New Zealand and of course here in the UK have all be engrossed. Well Done the two of you. XX

I’ve not heard anything back from Catherine, so who knows whats going on there. Thanks for the great read. Steve

Rhidian Morgan What an amazing story. Well done and we will see you soon.
Ray Peacock hi Lloyd / Grant, Pleased to see that you got back safely. Thanks for the mention in your Stanley piece. My repatriation plans are moving ahead albeit very slowly. So as promised , I look forward to hooking up , probably some time in Q2 2014, once I have got myself settled back in. Your sojourn really fires up the imagination and the wanderlust tendencies. I may not stay back in Blighty for too long ! Al the best for the festive season , and see you in the New year. Best, Ray
