Last minute preparations have been completed, if not done now they won't be! The last major issue was to find a customs agent in Chile. Julie from Imorex found us a few names and one came through, so should be OK. The last few weeks have been rather hectic, canceling everything at home is really frustrating but we have got there.

Had a few fair well drinks with colleagues and friends from work, they very kindly brought me a Kindle, which I know will be getting a lot of use in the next few weeks. Also had a family dinner, with a go karting session before hand. Thanks to my brothers and others for letting me win! Strange to be saying farewells to everyone. My brothers family produced a fantastic present of a cake with a model of Gerty sitting proudly on top.

Next blog should be from Chile, and after a few days of relaxing and a visit to Easter Island we will face the next challenge of getting Gerty out of the port.

Just a quick update to say that we have arrived safely in Santiago. Trip was fine and everything on time and no problems. Hotel has its own kitchen so we have just grabbed some salad stuff from a local shop and have eaten in the room. Both a bit tired so early night tonight and explore Santiago tomorrow.
