Our Year at Home
Today we delivered Gerty to Felixstowe and watched her being loaded into a container for her four week trip to Chile. The ship MSC Romanos leaves next week. It all went very smoothly. We will be closely following her progress on a shipping website and hopefully meet up with her in San Antonio Chile sometime week starting 3rd November.
Big thanks to Julie at Imorex, the shipping company, who has been very helpful and answered all our silly questions.

Mum and Keith Gosh, it really is happening now,
Jessica I am totally in awe of you both! Good luck, have just the best fun and don't forget to call in and see me when you get back please.
Sam I think it's very nice that you are planning to follow Julie from Imorex's progress. Slightly surprised you can do this via a shipping website. Or have I missed the point?
gerty581 Sam, thank you for pointing out our grammatical mistake to the whole world, we have rectifried it. Remember nobody loves a smart a**e !!
Jim Bull Gov, I didn't get a chance to wave you off as I was on annual. Wanted to say many thanks for everything and let you know how much I have respected you. Apologies for the link to work as I am sure you are glad to get away from it! I wish you & your wife safe travels and hope you have the experience of a lifetime which I'm sure is the plan. I shall follow your blog with much envy! Bon voyage
suandjohn Can't wait and eagerly looking forward to vicarious travels on Gerty. Mostly want to hear full details of any gourmet bush tucker cooked on the engine.
