Happy Birthday Scarlett Maitland! A day of celebrations today. Pancakes for breakfast, cooked by Zac!
A slow pack up up turned into mild panic when the storm clouds came over and the thunder started. Nothing makes you pack up a camp site fast like approaching rain!
Since hitting the Strzelecki we have only seen birds of prey; eagles, kites. They have been in search of food such as smaller birds, rabbits and lizards. No Emus or Kangaroos.
Today's destination is Farina.
Had a quick stop at Lyndhurst for fuel, water and a bevie and ice creams for the kids.
Stayed at the Farina Camping Ground which was lovely, even had flushing toilets and donkey powered hot showers!
We waited for the afternoon light before we went to see the ruins so we could get some great photos - which I think we did! Amazing ruins, Zac and Emily loved looking at these.
Another camp fire concluded the evening after a chocolate cake cooked in the camp oven by Tracey for Scarlett's bday. An electrical Storm circled us all night and finally dumped on us around 6am.
