Today was a day to sort out everything and plan the next part of our adventure.
It was a good feeling to get everything washed, for 5.5kg of washing it only cost 16sol which is equivalent to £4.
After sorting and booking Puerto Maldonado (the Jungle) to depart in a couple of days (was a lot cheaper then going to Manu national reserve because of the flight difference) we had a relaxing full body massage and checked into our first shared dorm hostel at Eco Packers.
At the hostel it was so much more social! A big group of us went out for some Pisco sours and some cocktails.
The next couple of days we chilled out a little and enjoyed the company of other travellers at EcoPackers. We also went horse riding, I didn't know what to expect and was slightly worried because I had only been horse riding once before, years ago.
Well... We experienced the worst of horse riding, riding in a tropical storm while hailing wasn't pleasant and our horses didn't want to go any quicker then a plod! Liz's horse had bad wind issues and I just thought the whole time this would be so much better if I was on my bike! So I may pass on horse riding next time!
