Had a fantastic nights sleep and was ready to be a tourist and visit Christ the Redeemer. However I when we arrived at the station it wasn't our day! There was a Jesus cam so you could see the view from the top and it was way too cloudy you couldn't see a thing! I was so disappointed because my final Uni design project was based on Brazilian Coffee and I had to buy stock images and this would have been the perfect opportunity to take my own images! I tried again an hour later when the weather cleared up but still no luck! Fingers crossed for tomorrow!

We had a change of plan a group of us decided to sign up for the favela tour at 2pm to tick another tourist 'must see' off the list! This particular favela was home to 300,000 brazilians and was only one of the 415 favelas in the country. I was amazed at the conditions they lived in. It was a real eye opener.

To celebrate my last night in Rio we went on a boat party, girls defiantly had the better deal we had free drinks for the first hour so it was a very cheap night after having a couple of passion fruit Caipirinhas at the hostel!
