An extremely early hungover morning, hauling our arses out of bed at 5am to catch the bus to Cuenca, our final destination in Ecuador before hitting Peru.
I have totally learnt my lesson with drinking before bus trips. 8 hours of manic Ecuadorian bus driving equals having a plastic bag on the ready to catch last nights dinner. It was awful, but I really only have myself to blame! Finally we arrived in Cuenca, it's Ecuadors 3rd largest city with a population of around 300,000. It is really beautiful, filled with old churches and buildings that look really European - think Paris or Barcelona.
We wandered around for an hour or so and Shirley and I bought new cameras. Then we had dinner and retired for the night. I must admit my bed has never felt so good as it does right now! Tomorrow will hopefully be cruisy touring around the city and maybe try some of the local cuisine. Yeeew!
