Helllooo,
It's our last day in nha trang tomorrow :( and it's been amaaazing. There's much to be said... Starting with the night bus on which we met a group of fellow travellers who are doing the same route up the coast. Adey, therese and justine are from the homeland and the two brads are Australian. There are also matt, ollie, Caroline, emma etc.. however to understand the sheer lairiness of our time here you have to understand justine. In a nutshell she's been banned from all clubs and bars within a ten mile radius of her home in Blackburn. She is mental. Experiences going out at night here have included partying on the beach by the fire, playing on inflatable seasaws in the sea, getting chased around the sailing club by a security guard with a massive stick for an hour as we tried to get in for free (we did - the manager let us in - win), getting harrassed and frankly inapprproately touched by the ladies of a certain bar who love us just a biiit too much, alex and justine breaking through the barrier surrounding the festival stage (as the stage was being prepared for the opening night) and getting applauded by a whole bunch of Vietnamese girls, weird, and as many free drinks as we could all handle. And more. Daytimes here have been spent largely chilling on the beach with the exception of yesterday when georgie and alex went with the others on a party boat. Turned out to be not quiiite what we expected as a small (but highly charged) Vietnamese man running the party sang celine dione, led about 60 Vietnamese tourists in "if you're happy and you know it" and the floating bar was actually one guy in a dingy floating by the boat. The snorkelling was pretty good and the islands were pretty - not that any of our group set foot on them because we are all too cheap to pay... Today we went and had a mud bath and mineral shower. A strange experience indeed. The mud was a quite thin sort of greeny/beige liquid that smelt faintly of tea tree. Having slathered our bodies and faces in the stuff we then went for our mineral showers which were so strong it hurt! Right, well we're off to enjoy our last night here with our squeaky clean and extremely soft skin. Byeee. We'll blog from hoi an next! Miss you all.
