Hi G - just to wish you luck for your Gobi trip - an adventure to the most mysterious and interesting place on earth. Hope you get to see some of the wild animals that are reputed to roam the Gobi, or even better discover a lost city and been known forever as "George of the Gobi"!! Don't forget to drink water every hour and in case of a sand storm lie on your side with your back to the storm and cover your face. Seriously, have a wonderful time and may all your mirages be beautiful and extraordinary! : ) x

Just you try and kidnap me. Ill splat and launch attacks like never before. you better not have anything to do with that little brat tiger Sophie...

Hi Georgie - just read your latest message. You seem to be doing so much - we are thinking of you especially today as it is the special trip to Gobi and certainly look forward to hearing all about that. If it is going to be very hot hope you have a sun-hat in your bag! It is so amazing what you are doing with so many different experiences. Grandad was telling some of his golfing friends the other day that his Granddaughter had her own web site and that you were in Mongolia - they were really interested and asked him lots of questions.
We took Christopher to the cinema this afternoon to see 'ROBOT' and all enjoyed it. Grandad had a permanent smile on his face almost all the way through! All very clever.
Talking about films did you get to see 'Chariots of Fire'? A really great film.
Do hope the chocs have arrived together with all the other parcels which were en route.
Enjoy yourself but don't get rocking any more wonky bridges!
We love you lots and take care - Nan & Grandad xxxx

Hi, Georgina. Hope you got my email the other day. Am never quite sure what's best to post up on your message board. After all I don't want to bore your mates with the detailed minutae of everyday life, quite as much as I'm prepared to enhance your understanding of life chez Beeding. But do let me know if my Easter missive went astray ( you know how IT challenged I am) and I'll post it on your site.
I 'm really enjoying your photos. It's truly hard to believe that rock has weathered naturally to look so turtle like. Sure that wasn't an April Fool? And does 'The Black Market' mean the same thing in Mongolia as it does here? And is that why they keep their faces covered? Or was it very cold that day? Please send explanations!
I love your del. From what I can see, it looks very fetching. How about getting one of your mates to snap you in it, so we can all enjoy the full effect?
The trip into the desert sounds a real adventure. Being from Jewish decsent, I am of course extremely anxious that you take sufficient provisions. It would take the edge off your sense of awe and wonder if you were to be permanently hungry. And try to take food that will keep, cos deserts can get hot in the day.
Anyway back home all is peaceful. Charlotte was exhausted by her trip to Chessington. So. no matter how hard I try I just can't get her out of the house at all today. Actually if Charlotte keeps this up for too many days I might have to use your site to send out an SOS for food before we starve! We are all alone. Teresa has taken Holly and the dogs down to Devon for the week and Sherry has gone too. The house is very quiet and tidy!
Had reason to write to Gill Goulding at Downs Park today and gave her your news. Gave her you web address so you may start getting some hits from the staff there.
Keep safe and well. Lots of love mum xxxx

HA HA HA HA HA. I am hatching a plan to kidnap Chilli. I will do it while Myles is at a club or something. I will creep into his room and put Chilli in a small bag and taker her to Lord Crug who can decide her fate. HA HA HA HA HA HA

Hi G,
Thanks for the email, just catching up on your postcards. Sounds like you have settled in well and are really enjoying your weekends and new friendships now (don't go scaring everyone off with shaky bridges or you may find people getting there own back on you!!). Good to hear you are over your flu, poor you, you do seem prone to that sort of thing, good thing you packed the lemsips. The Gobi trip sounds very exciting. You asked what's been happening here in Brighton - well not a huge amount really - Luca is back as you know, he told me he'd chatted to you and Myles on msm so I guess you are all up to date with his tales of America! He and Gabes are in Cornwall now for the last week of the hols and I have design work to get on with and some maths coursework. It was lovely to have a trip out with Charlotte and Dad on Bank Holiday Monday, we took Chippie up to the Dyke and then on to Barcombe Mills for lunch. We thought of taking a boat out but Charlie wasn't in quite the right mood. I'll be seeing her later this week for a swim and I'm hoping she will be in the right frame of mind to come to over to do some baking and planting with me at my house. I went to see Asian Dub Foundation the other night at the Corn Exchange, what a great gig! loads of energy and atmosphere, bumped into lots of old friends there too and met the band afterwards for a chat, had been previously invited to go to the Paris gig but it didn't work out with work commitments, but apparently Brighton was a better venue and crowd reception anyway. I'm hoping to take the boys to at least one festival this summer - that's if they're not too cool to go with mum! Luca has probably told you all about his gigs coming up, I hope to video at least one of them, so if I can work it out I should be able to email one to you. Well that's about it in Brighton not so nearly as exciting as your adventures, I hope all goes well with the Gobi trip and look forward to more pics. Lots of love for now X
Dad
Hi G, Great postcard - your clearly loving getting out of the city, that turtle is awesome! And I wonder where you picked up habits like rocking rickety old rope wood bridges from - thats my gal!! That big ttrip to the Gobi sounds a serious highlight , fingers crossed it happens - sure it will, the force is with you. You asked about some old 1980 film about runners. Your talking about the film Chariots of Fire, based on the 1924 Olympics. Its about two British runners Eric Liddle and Harold Abrahams from I think Oxford University - they both won golds. The film is about principles and beliefs, as Liddle was devoutly religious and refused to run his qualifying heat as it fell on a Sunday. A big controversy at the time. Very famous music by Vangelis - a good feel film when Britain ran the world! It won an Oscar. I think you'll enjoy it - even if it is a bit dated. Lots and lots of love - off to take Charlie out. Huge grins and giggles yesterday - Charlotte was right.Dad xxxx. Lets hope some of those parcels arrive - in time for Go Go Gobi trip.

hey it seems like you're having a good time, even if recent things get you down. hell i got lonely for a week in somerset, so i can't imagine being out in mongolia! i'm back to school doing AS next week; i'm sure geography coursework seems a little trivial in light of what you're doing though. Anyway, enjoy things as much as you can and always remember to laugh at yourself, i do it all the time and don't get funny looks. x Dav(e)
