Well then, I'm a bit drunken and starting the blog. After the most amazing weekend spent with lovely, lovely people, I've spent today preparing for the big scary trip. I'm all packed up and ready to go now but slightly in denial about the fact I'm away for such a long time and that I'll be on an 11 hour flight tomorrow. I don't actually like flying much and the furthest I've ever travelled is Prague (3 hours). Plus that means I won't get to smoke for approximately 15 hours so heaven help Jim and Don.

Had the final house meal at HFG (prepared by Mark's fair hands) with the housemates and our honourary housemate Luke. I was a bit pathetic and kept weeping so took four times as long to eat my dinner as everyone else. Strolled down to the new Five Lamps (rubbish) for my last cider for at least three weeks.

I'm definitely in a state of denial about tomorrow but it's officially happening. We fly from Heathrow at 14.55 and arrive in Tokyo at around 09:00 (there's an 8 hour time difference). So the next time I update this I'll have seen a little bit of Japan... that's just surreal!

Anyway, I'm a bit tipsy and need to finish my packing so I'll say sayonara x
