Happy Birthday to Mr James Andrew Coxon, officially reaching the grand old age of 26 today!

Jim opened his birthday present this morning and it went down a treat. In fact it prompted quote of the day from me "Look at you old man, 26 and sat in a cardigan reading a book about British politics"... Jim's response? "f*** off".

There have been galeforce winds in Wellington today so we've postponed all sightseeing until tomorrow, opting instead to enjoy Jim's birthday in the most leisurely way possible. This morning was spent cafe hopping before eating lunch and going to the matinee at the cinema to see 'How to lose friends and alienate people'. It was quite pants but we're predisposed to go easy on anything starring Simon Pegg so it wasn't unbearable.

After that I surprised Jim with a birthday apple slice with a candle lodged in it (he has to be awkward - he doesn't like cake) and then lots of drinks and a meal out. To be honest, I'm quite drunk and seeing double so if this is all spelt right it's a frikkin' miracle.
