Well, after Brisbane I ventured off on my own to Surfers Paradise. The hostel I was staying in was a bit out of the centre of town at Main Beach, but the location was perfect really with the beach on the opposite side of the road to the hostel.

I spent most of my fist afternoon in Surfers exploring the hostel and sitting on the beach. As the beach is a bit out of town it is really quiet which is great, some days I almost had the beach to myself!

On Wednesday I went to Sea World which was walking distance from the hostel. To be honest it was slightly disappointing when compared to that in Florida, but it was still a really good day. The dolphin show was certainly impressive and the underwater viewing area at shark bay was great too.

I spent all day on Thursday on the beach with my book which was really relaxing. Was really hot though, so was very brave and had a little paddle in the sea!

Not much else to say really, was a really nice, relaxing few days.

Photo's will follow at some point, but no access at Byron Bay hostel to do this so may have to wait until Sydney!
