Hi Matthew and Gemma, The latest news is really great, your pics are brilliant. I'm sure that you will contiue to enjoy New Zealand. The transport looks very up market and hopefully will continue passenger free! In any case I guess it will be a bit cooler than you have experienced in Nth Australia. We just hope you lose the rain and can get out and about. The fishing looks very successful - so you'll be down on the river when you get back, sheltering in your little tent ?? Well - what have we been up to - not alot. I have worked quite a bit as the weather has been so grim. Dad is replacing his blind on the van after the last one blew away in Brighton. Do you remember the last time that happened? This time I have to report there was less bad language surprisingly. We have a deadline as the Sth of France beckons and I'm expecting sunshine! We are going with David and Carol this time so should be a bit of fun. Bank holiday this weekend - pics of Leeds festival tonight - absolutely thick mud - not my idea of fun. Forecast isn't very promising, we've had no summer at all. Gramps is the same - no better, no worse. He seems confortable and certainly could'nt be better looked after. We've all got wedding invitations for next February (Jane and Bill) so new hats all round. Yours is in your pile of stuff that we are collecting. All the things from India etc have come. But we haven't got the boomerang yet! But wouldn't be surprised. Anyway take care as you go - all our love xxxxxx

Hi there, Thanks for the email Matthew. We are much encouraged to hear that other places have bad weather too! We will draw a veil over Scotland last week. Certainly saw us coming. Rain and maoe rain. We did get out a bit but got fed up with getting wet. Came home at the weekend. Tomorrow we are having one last try at the seaside. St Helens in the park - not too exciting but hey can't be worse than last week! David and Carol are coming up to join us at the weekend and we'll all go see Gramps too. Yana has got a job at Barnsley - second interview (in case you don't know. I gather they communicate in other places!) Anyway she's done really well - first step on the ladder. The income will make a big difference to them too. I'm back to work next week. Then a month before we are away again - this time we hope further afield. Dad is ok and sends his love. I send mine too. We are looking forward to some more photos, has your camera broken?? Take care xxxx

Hi
Looks as if you are enjoying the travel, but we had some sun last week at Grange Moor, barbies were going mad, Morrisons must have sold out of sausages!!!
Lads are getting excited about Portugal, another piss-up, supposed to be playing golf.
Your pictures look good and the trip to the reef sounds fantastic.
Take care, see you soon

You missed a classic stag do in Ibiza, Portugal for me in a few weeks, golfing. Hey Gemma, Liverpool have just signed Robbie Keane today for 19 Million!.
Have you heard about Easylife Armitage, pulling weeds for two hours a day for a living, what a life.
Take care both of you and live it up.

Hello guys! Just putting a short message on here to say we are still keeping track of your travels. We guess that you are now in New Zealand and hope that it is everything you expected. Did you see the pope in Sydney by the way? Anyway we are all ok. Gramps inspite of all his problems is not too bad at the moment but neither is he living a very exciting life or even a bit exciting. Dad and I are heading off tomorrow north of the border. As you know we like the mountains and as the weather has been fairly settled of late hope it might not be too bad for us. Last week we were in Brigton of all places (basically the weather forecast siad the conditions were best in the SE and so they were. It was glorious even before the rest of the country started getting it. Hoping we may do a bit of walking or biking for the next couple of weeks as we have been rather lazy so far this holiday. Yana has a couple of interviews next week so here's hoping. Dan is as busy as ever - he should be a millionaire, don't know what's going wrong! We hope you are both ok - take care, much love xxxxx

Hello you two, Lovely to speak to you Matthew today. Dad was very pelased you had remembered his birthday. Not looking too bad at 62 really, would be much better in the sunshine though! Should have been off today - never mind. We are going down to Suffolk at the end of the week for a few days. We plan to pack everything and then if all's well will progress from there. Don't know where yet though. I have plenty of time as I don't work again until middle of August - surely the sun will shine before then! Just having a break will be good though and we have our bikes, books and walking boots - how hard can life be? I did go and buy us some more fleecy jackets and the coats have had an extra waterproofing - just in case. I am reading Bill Bryson Down Under this holiday and thinking about your adventures, hopefully not as eventful as Bill's! Have you read it? Wimbledon finished yesterday and we are missing it. Even Gramps enjoyed the men's final and it has kept him going all fortnight sitting with his feet up in his fantastic chair. He was more chirpy yesterday. Dan and Yana called to see him saturday and took chocolate so he was happy with that. I have been looking on the map and see you have a long way to drive before Sydney. Hope you make your deadline in 20 days. New Zealand beckons! We'll keep in touch even though we haven't anywhere near the interesting life that you are having. Look after yourselves. Much love xxxxx
