Hi both. Trying to imagine where you are by now, where ever it is guess it'll be a real culture shock. Looking forward to seeing the first photos. All's well here, apart from the fact that it's getting chillier by the day, even more so because still upside down with no where to sit. Camping out in dining room with two heaters not even the I Max to watch now! Dan doing a good job though so all worth it. Look after each other and enjoy. We'll keep in touch. Much love xx

What can I say? I've known you for 26 years and we've grown up together. I can't believe that you are gonna be gone for the next 12 months. I'm so used to just ringing you up for a chat, normally when Mark's annoying me. Who am I going to call now! I'm missing you already. As I'm typing I've got tears running down my face. I supposed you're used to the tears. (Anna's probably not surprised either!)

You've always been a fab friend. Even when you were my landlady! Have a wonderful time and stay safe. Matthew please look after her for me, she's my oldest friend. As Anna said if you decide to get hitched let us know cos we wanna be there.

Am having another sob after reading Anna and Jackie's messages! Gems - I'm going to miss you so much (as I keep telling you!) You're the best mate I've ever had and all the fun times I've had over the past 7 years have been with you. The holidays we've been on, the times we've comforted each other when we felt lonely and the fab nights out, including five new years eves, ( with curry and dancing). I can't believe I won't have any of that for a whole year. I'm so glad we met our men at the same time and that they both get on ( we always said that's what we wanted to happen!). I;m the same as Anna and Jackie - it hasnt really sunk in that you won't be here on Mon or for the next 12 months.

Have an amazing time - I'm really glad you are going on the adventure you dreamed of. I just hope you don't like it too much out there and that you come back to us!! Look after yourself, keep in touch and come back safe and sound! Can't wait to see you in New Zealand - and no, you can't sleep in our camper van!

Well after filling up again reading Anna's message I just want to say have an amazing time and I will miss you both but Gemma I will miss you so so much!! Like Anna i've been in denial and I think i'm in for a big shock when I realise you're not just away for a little while.

I thought that there was no point in writing you a card, as you wont be taking it with you so it will last all of one day, so instead I thought I would write you a message.

gems this bit is mainly for you...i just can't believe you are going, i think i have been in denial and i'm not really mentally prepared for not seeing you for a whole year. i will miss you so much. But, i'm really looking forward to reading all about your amazing adventures, it will be such a fantastic experience for you both. My trip is on hold for about 20 years!!

Matthew this bit is for you....please look after our special gems, she is very precious as you obviously know. and if you do get any ideas about rings and weddings, try not to do it too far away and we might all fly out to be there - we are already missing jackie and darren's big day because they want a tiny do, so missing two best friends weddings would be too much - no pressure!!

I hope that you both do come back, but if you don't make sure you choose somewhere fab and not too far so they we can make regular visits.
