Still battered and bruised we managed to carry our backpacks and get to Pangkor Island for some well deserved relaxation. Not much to say about this place apart from the island is nearly the same size as how far we walked the previous 2 days.
We found the beach with no difficulty at all, which could'nt be said for other people as it was deserted. Well not quite but this being the low season in Malaysia it was'nt very busy, there were only about 5 couples on the whole stretch of beach which suited us nicely! The beach was gorgeous, the sand was really white and the sea green from the lime stone around it. It was just what we needed.
Our chalet was back from the beach, on the fringe of the jungle, so we saw monkeys and quite a few birds called hornbills. Matthew was facinated with these(i think he is secretly turning into a bird watcher).
Had a nice meal of red snapper on the last evening, in fact the best we have had in Malaysia so far, Gemma particularly enjoyed the fish which says something as she would only have fish from the chippie before we left.
Thats all from here, next stop Penang.
