In the end the lure of another night in Vegas was to good to refuse. Well we did have another discount motel voucher and we had news that Salt lake city was just starting their ski season and we had seen enough snow in New Zealand for this year. The route was alot more direct to Vegas this time, but we still had an overnight stop on route arriving in Vegas at lunchtime. So we had a taste of the landscape in Nevada at the Grand Canyon, but we were really looking forward to exploring Zion, Arches and Canyonlands National parks which are relatively close together considering the size of Utah. The problem we had though was to find a place to stay within good travelling time of the parks. After a few days in LA we were ready to move on. The Americans seem to drive like they think, which is never ferther than their noses. They also have some silly driving rules. We left Fiji at 10.00pm on Tuesday the 30th September and arrived in LA at 2.00pm on Tuesday the 30th September after a 10 hour flight, so our bodies didn't really know what was happening as we had to live the same day twice without much sleep at all.
