Hello! Hope everyone is well. We left Perth about 3 days ago and since have been on a bloody train! Not the most comfortable way to travel but it has got us from A to B! On the train journey which was 3 days and 2 nights, we stopped of at Kalgooli. We arrived quite late at night and had 3 1/2 hours to kill so we stopped off at a nearby pub for a few drinks, we met a couple of locals who gave us some good advice on Ayres Rock and we decided we definately want to go. So now we are in Adelaide we have got a couple of days here and then on Sunday go on another bloody train to Alice Springs and then have 3 day tour to Ayres Rock. Anyway after the pub we got back on the train at like 1.30am and i realised my wallet thing i keep my passport, tickets, phone and everything valuable in wasnt in my bag - aaaarh! Had such a panic on cause the train was due to leave, we had to ask them not to leave and me and mel ran so fast back to the pub which luckily was still open, the wallet thing was still under the table - thank god! Seriously cant believe how lucky i was! Wont be doing that again for sure! After the small drama we were back on the train, had 1 more stop of on the way at a place called Cook, i can safely say the weirdest place I have ever been too! It has a population of like 5 people or something. It was really eary, the kind of place horror films are filmed at you know. It had the net doors on front of buildings and everything, there was literally nothing there - very odd! It was during the day this time so we didnt get scared! Arrived in Adelaide fine, again a really nice city, very clean. We've got our trip to Ayres Rock booked up. Did a bit of shopping - sorry dad we had too!! - just got a few essentials! Looking forward so much to sleeping in a bed rather than a chair! We feel like we've not slept for 2 nights. Will be in touch after our trip to Alice Springs and then we are off to Sydney.
