Hi Guys

We got to Koh Phangan and waited for Dave and Kate to arrive so we could find some accomodation and decided to stay in a place called Haat Yao which is about 40mins drive from Haat Rin which is where the full moon party was held. I loved everything about this place is was lovely we were in the middle of know where, we had big bungalows set in beautiful gardens with a pool straight infront of us and then the sea infront of the pool. We were really high up so the sea looked great from our balcony it was such a nice place ill get the photos on soon as i can hopefully today but i have forgotten to bring my usb lead haha. We decided to hire some more mopeds like we did in Ko Samui and go round the Island that is something i wish we hadnt of done. Always check what the roads are like before you hire a bike i was petrified. We set off to some sites waterfalls and temples and elephant trekking etc and at first it was great the roads were good but then we saw that this waterfall we wanted to go to was on dirt tracks so we set off thinking it would be ok. How wrong can you be. I was so scared the drops were virtical basically i was putting both my feet on the floor pulling the breaks and going down as slowly as possible with my fllet sliding on the floor. There were massive pot holes everywhere and it was so hard trying to dodge these pot holes when you are going down these virtical drops. The first time i came off the bike i was going down this hill and the front wheel went down into a pot hole and the bike was going i thought i have two options here either try hold the bike up as my feet were on the floor and risk having the bike on top of me or i jump ship. I choose to jump ship and me and the bike were freestyling down the hill. Dave and Kate were in front of me and heard me come off so stopped and came back to help me. The bikes are so heavy especially on hills that are straight down. Me and kate were trying to get the bike down the hill but it kept falling over the amount of scratches on the bike were rediculas. Then we thought do we go back or keep going forward to try find a proper road and i didnt fancy going back so we decided to go straight forward all the way encounting more and much higher and steeper hills i was nearly crying i came off quite a few times. Eventually we got to this one hill that we all thought no way are we going down that, there was this massive jeep thing coming up the hill and i was in the middle of the road and couldnt move my bike so grabbed the breaks as hard as i could and reved the bike and the back tyre skidded to the side of the road i actually didnt mean to do this but luckily i was out of the way because the truck wouldnt have been able to set off again if it had of stpped. Anyway we went to this hut that was selling pop and crisps and asked the lady how far the next road was and she said we had to go all the way back the way we had come i couldnt believe my ears by this time i was foul as anything and really could have broke down in tears i was so scared and the thought of having to go back on the same dirt track we had come terrified me. I came off the bike going down this massive hill i dont have a clue how we got up there in the first place and dave stopped at the bottom and walked back up to get my bike down because i couldnt do it i just kept falling off sliding down pot holes and that. Eventually we got to the roads but me and woody had lost them two and it was due to get dark soon and i couldnt bare the thought of being out in the dark on the bikes again. We didnt have the map because kate had it in here bag and at one point i just stopped and woody came back up i said i think we are going the wrong way and he said no i can remember this road. I said to him are you 100% sure because i dont want to be stuck out here on the bikes also because i had come off the bike so many times i think the wheels had moved so no matter how straight i had the handle bars i was going off to the the left so when woody was speeding off i just stayed at 40kph i was so scared i thought this is going to be one of the moments when you think to yourself why did i do that because i would be layed in a hospital bed with a broken leg or something. Anyway turned out i was right (woman always are) he was going the wrong way so we had to go all the way back at this point i was actually crying thinking i would never get back and wanted to get my bike on a tuk tuk and get back that way. Woody was loving it and was driving me mad because he was geting annoyed i wasnt going any faster but i didnt want to kill myself. Eventually we got back and i was in desperate need of a drink luckily it was the full moon party that night. On this bike trip we did find this amasing waterfall that had a tarsan swing init and you had to grab the rope and try swinginto the pool with out hitting the rocks it was ace i loved that but that was the only good part of that day ill never get a bike again after that experience.

The full moon party was great as well we had a good time danicing about drinking buckets but i wish we hadnt have gone again the full moon party is somewhere you should only go once as the surprise of everything going on around you isnt there anymore and although we had a great night it wasnt as good as the first time because we new what to expect. Dave and Kate loved it, it was their first time and thought it was great. It was a good night anyhow until getting home we were having some real trouble with the tuk tuk driver he wanted to wait for more people and wouldnt just take us home so we had to wait about while more people came everyone was getting right hot headed and the tuk tuk driver was a bit of a div really but we did get home eventually. The rest of the time we spent round by the pool and Dave tought me how to dive not scuba dive but literally dive from the edge of the pool im suited now i can do it although people were laughing at me round the pool because i couldnt dive and someone was teaching me had a few belly flops but got the hang of it and i can now dive yay.
