Hi Guys thought i would give you an update of what we have been up to in Ko Samui. Well for the first week or so we didnt do much except have a few nights out with our mates we have made. Dave and Mya that was a good night and there was a monkey in one of the bars it was really cute but other than that we havent done much else except out self organised trip on the scooters.
Me woody n Dave thought as the sun had come out we would hire out some motorbikes (sorry mum i know you will be cross but im safe) We were jsut getting out the bikes and woody started panicing saying are you sure you are going to be ok riding this bike your not going to crash are you? I was saying i was fine and so we decided dave would lead the way i would follow and woody would follow me. We set off and i had literally just turned the corner when i heard a massive bang so obviously i turned round and woody had come off the bike. his head was in a shop stall and his bum sticking up in the air. I obviously didnt find it funny at the time as i proped my bike up and went to see if he was ok which he was only a scrathched leg and toe luckily. Anyway he had broke the bike so we waited for him to get another one and set off again. We stopped at Lamai beach to have a look and it was a nice beach took a few photos and laughing about woody coming off the bike becuase it was so comical the way he had landed in the shop and we decided to set off so we were backing our bikes up still laughing about woody and the next thing i hear another bang and Dave had drove straight into a bungalow i was laughing my head off the look on his face was pure horror as if to say how did that happen (well ill tell you Dave your a man and men cant drive) Anyway it took me ages to stop laughing at them two i guess you would have had to have been there to find it hillarious but anyway. We followed the signes to the Aquarium and Tiger sanctuary which was RUBBISH might i just add total waste of money but you live and learn. We saw some sharks and other things and sea horses i was amazed with these as i really only thought they were in little mermaid i thought they were a made up thing like the mermaids. At the end of it we could have had our Picture taken with a tiger but we decided against it as it was too expensive.
We then set off again to the waterfall, cant remember the name of it because i am rubbish but it was amasing. When we got there this man was trying to get us to go on the elephants to get to the waterfall but because it was a nice day we decided we wanted to walk so we set off and oh my god we didnt realise what we were in for. It started off climbing up some rocks that were all over the place and it wasnt too bad we were finding it quite easy. We came to this stall in the middle of the jungle and this man said there is a swimming pool bit further up, we are thinking this is great because we are RED HOT and swe4ating buckets by this time. We got a bit furthur up and there was a few Thai blokes just in the middle of knowwhere i dont know if they live there or what but one of the men said pool?? so we said yes and he started walking with us. We thought we were nearly there at his point but we were not even half way there and it was getting steeper and steeper, we were vertually vertical going up through this jungle type thing. We could see the waterfall all the time as we were walking up and it was great at times we had to cross the waterfall which was scary but we managed it. We were swinging on trees and climbing up ropes, pulling ourselves up and up and up and up and up. It was never ending we were soaking with sweat (nice i know) but i literally have never sweated so much in my entire life i had it dripping off my nose down my arms down my legs my belly my back my entire body was wet, it was the same for all of us. Our legs were starting to kill from having to lift your leg up so your knee was more a less under your chin grab on to tree and pull ourselves up or grab onto a rope and pull ourselves up. After what seemed like hours we reached the top, we were suited. We were 600 Metres above sea level and the waterfall was beautiful. Although we were in agony and wet through it was such an acheivement to reach the top and im so glad we did it. We got straight into this pool it was lovely cooled us down. You had to be careful though one minute you are swimming and the next minute your kicking rocks. Dave was the first to try going under the actual waterfall he climbed out and walked round to where this rope was and the Thai man i told you about earlier was helping him to get under the waterfall. From the pictures it looks like it it hardly a waterfall coming down into the pool but let me tell you the force of it was well bad. One minute he was pulling himself up on this rope and closer to it and the next he disappeared i thought where has he gone he hasnt drowned has he. He had been gone ages and we couldnt see him then he pops out. He said that is ace so i thought i want a bit of that. I started swimming to the rope which was rock hard because the water was pushing me back but managed to get there eventually even though woody was laughing his head off at me. Dave said just pull up on the rope and and you will just go under and pop out in like a cave so i thought that is easy. Was it heck as like easy i was pulling myself up like he said and my bikini bottoms were coming down so with one hand i am trying to pull them back up they were at my knees at this point im thinking if these come off im not going to get them back they are just going to go straight down the waterfall. I was holding onto the rope with my other hand but was swinging all over the place and getting dragged under the water which was scaring me so i let go of the rope and floated back to where i originally started and thought sod that im not trying that again. Woody then had a go and got straight under the waterfall i am now thinking i cant be the only one that hasnt gone under it. Dave shouts me and says he will help me get under, woody is still in the cave and i grab the rope again for another go and get right to where the waterfall is coming down and try going under and it is like a tonne of bricks whacking you in the head im saying nah i cant do it and dave just says just pull yourself through once your through you will be ok and i proper darnt do it so he pushes me through it and there woody was stood in this cave saying how come it took you so long to get under here. Dave was straight through as well my next problem was getting back out of this cave. The rope is at the other side so what was i going to grab hold of i was sticking my hand out the side trying to grab the rope couldnt reach so dave gets out and passes it through. It is a strong currant from the pics it looks like nothing but believe me it is well strong anyway we all got out safe and sound and had a bit of a swim trying not to get dragged down the next bit of the waterfall. It was lovely i reconmend going to see all the waterfalls in Samui if you ever come they are massive and look so good. I have got loads of videos i just need to figure out how to put them on here and you can see the videos. The trip down was even harder because you cant pull yourself up you have to make sure you dont slip down the jungle. I suppose if you do slip there are plenty of trees to stop you from falling all the way to the bottom but i expect you will still have broken bones. We got back to the bikes and set off back home as it was 5:30 and due to get dark at about 6:00 and didnt want to be out on the bikes in the dark. Straight away we lost dave because loads of cars had over taken me and when we came to a junction i didnt know which way he went so i got woody to go in the front and i would follow as i have lost my glasses i cant see the signs. I have NEVER been so petrified in my hole life must have been rush hour and cars were everywhere i was practically driving on the pavement to stay away from the looney drivers i have never been so relieved to get back home in one piece. If you ever get a bike out over here make sure you get back before rush hour because it is so scary. All in all though we had an amasing day and something totally different to what we have already done. We are going to go into the outback more often its hard work but well worth it. Just so you know when i was swimming round in that pool at the waterfall i was thinking about all you guys at work hahahahahehehehe
Lots n lots of love
