So today is our last day in Byron Bay, we're moving on to Surfer's Paradise first thing in the morning.  Byron Bay is beautiful, we arrived on saturday at the arts factory hostel which is basically a hippie hostel. totally into greenpeace, has recycle bins everywhere and teabags hanging off trees (we still haven't worked out why but you get the idea) saturday we basically did nothing but wash all our clothes since they smelt from camping, and we went supermar...

Ok so me and Pam are now in Byron bay.  As you probably know we went on a surf trip which started on Monday. We got up at ridiculous am, i think it was around 6:30, we then packed up, said our goodbyes to the boys, checked out and walked accross the road to the bus station where we were getting picked up from at 8.  Just walking accross the road was hard enough with the weight of the rucksacks!  The bus then turned up and about 14 of us got on and heade...

wow i can't believe we've been here over 2 weeks already! in some ways it feels like we've been here forever .... but in others its like we left yesterday! so friday, we went to the zoo. i got stupidly excited about seeing a koala and drove everyone mad even before we'd left the hostel! we had to get the ferry across the harbour and then a cable car up to the entrance which took you over the top of the zoo. Ok so Tuesday, we all got up and met at about 11:30. We then went to Bondai beach and pretty much just sat there, baking all day! The waves were absolutly maaasssiive so we all nearly drowned or lost out bikinis...dangerous stuff! That night we all went out to the Gaff...which is a back packers bar, free alocohol for an hour, need i say more? There were dance competitions and wet t-shirt competitions, me and pam took part in both.... no only kidding hahah!! ...

hey guys well we've finished our first week and today we moved from coogee by the beach to a hostel called "wake up" in the centre of sydney. its alot more modern and clean than the other hostel but nowhere near as friendly and homely. on the plus side though, we haven't seen any cochroaches yet! haha on friday we took a daytrip to the blue mountains where we had a guided tour and went on rainforest walks. we got stuck in quite a few rainstorm...
