Los Angeles to Costa Rica
Day 3 in Disneyland just seemed to fly. It was much busier unfortunately as warmer weather. Explored some of the parts we hadn't yet seen like Tomorrow Land, Frontier Land and popped back to some of the favourite spots of the other areas we'd done before. Winnie the Pooh ride a favourite for both the big and little kids. Finished the rides with the stunning "Its a small world" which was spectacular. You really felt like you were in another world once inside. Stayed for the parade again before heading "home" still on a high, Zac and Zoe proudly clutching their new little disney soft toys (thanks Anna and Mum).
Packed up as leaving for Costa Rica in the morning- 2 flights totalling 8 hours. Was not looking forward to it but luckily Zac slept through almost the entire first flight. Second one we were not so lucky! The kids a little clingy and we could not take one to the toilet without the other getting distressed (translation, screaming at top volume!) about the missing adult so off we would all troop down the plane for family toilet trips!! The airline also lost Zac's bag which added an hour or two sorting paperwork claims etc. Got it back 24 hours later though and on the up side, it was nice to have one less bag to carry!
Collapsed at 12 midnight at our hotel but they offered free international calls which we couldnt resist taking advantage of so ended up calling home till nearly 2 am!
Found all the food in USA so sweet- even the savoury stuff like bread, peanut paste etc. Craving salt by the end- even sweet toothed Adam was sick of it so looking forward to Costa Rican staples.... nachos..mmmm!
